This page is devoted to frequently asked questions by the potential customer and answered in the most practical way by Chris Field as Elvis to help you
the PAYING CUSTOMER make the right choice for your own personal Elvis Tribute Show.
Question 1. I see you are an Elvis Impersonator based near Ashford Kent, where are your performing locations?
Answer. The road networks are very good from where I live, my supply zones for my Elvis Tribute Band Shows using London as my centre would go to a radius of approximately 200 miles. If you wanted to hire an Elvis Impersonator North of London this would include areas local to Bedfordshire, Middlesex, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Hertfordshire, Essex and Suffolk. To find an Elvis Tribute Act South of London this would include areas local to Kent, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire and Dorset.
Question 2. I would like to have an Elvis Impersonator perform in my house, would this be realistic and safe?
Answer. All my electrical sound and lighting is PAT tested yearly and my Elvis Tribute Act is covered by Full Public Liability Insurance.
Some of my best and most memorable Elvis shows have been at house parties, you cant beat the atmosphere and personal closeness of performing in somebody’s home. It is fully possible to bring the “Wonders of the Theatre” into your home.
All thats needed for safety is an approximate 8-10 foot clearing for equipment set up plus secure changing facility to allow Elvis to “Enter Your Building”.

1 x 30 minute set or 2 x 30 minute singing sets.
1 x 45 minute set or 2 x 45 minute singing sets.
1 x 1 hour set or 2 x 1 hour singing sets.
Or I can perform to your tailored choice ( maximum 3 hours duration).

Question 4. What songs do you sing and can I pick my own Elvis songs and what would you advise?
Answer. The wonder of being an Elvis Presley Tribute Act is the sheer volume of Elvis songs there are to sing, there are literally thousands of them. Customer service is my number one priority, you can certainly select all your Elvis songs for the show or just some of them and I will make up the rest. I know in excess of 300 songs but frankly speaking at many events this can be surprisingly taken down to most popular well loved 20. Listed below, in my opinion are the most commonly requested Elvis Presley songs to perform:
1. Blue Suede Shoes
2. Hound Dog
3. All Shook Up
4. Don’t be Cruel
5. Teddy Bear
6. Wooden Heart
7. Rock A Hula Baby
8. Jailhouse Rock
9. Stuck on You
10. Return To Sender
11. Devil in Disguise
12. A Little Less Conversation
13. GI Blues
14. Can’t Help Falling In Love
15. Suspicious Minds
16. In The Ghetto
17. Wonder of You
18. Burning Love
19. Way Down
20. American Trilogy
I perform Elvis show formats especially formulated for parties and weddings with the emphasis being on fun, singalong, guest and host participation as well as dancing the night away to The King of Rock n Roll.
Songs that instantly spring to mind are Sweet Caroline, Runaway, Love Me Tender, It’s Now or Never etc.
Question 5. I see you perform on big stages but would you come to perform for my elderly residents in a Nursing Care Home?
Answer. Yes I do perform as an Elvis Impersonator in Nursing Care Homes and Retirement / Residential Housing. Please visit my Services Provided page for more information.
Question 6. Do you perform outdoors?
Answer. Yes I have performed many Elvis Shows at Garden Parties, Fetes, High Street events etc. Due to the changeable nature of the Great British weather I would advise on a Plan B. just in case the weather isn’t favourable on the day. I performed my Elvis Tribute in Surrey at a garden party once and a thunderstorm broke out unexpectedly, but after a half hour delay the party resumed indoors and it turned out to be a super evening.
Question 7. Are you the best Elvis Impersonator in the World?
Answer. The best Elvis Presley singer died on August 16th 1977, the great man himself. I have great admiration for other Elvis Tribute Acts around the World and what they do to keep the legacy of Elvis’ music alive, but I would say any Elvis Impersonator claiming to be the best in the World needs to be considered with caution. That being said I am a very experienced entertainer, very professional in my performing, wear well tailored quality jumpsuits just like Elvis, (well tailored quality jumpsuits are a big clue on the quality of an Elvis act), I will always arrive for my customer as early as possible to their events, my sound engineering has years of experience behind it and also in the eventuality of unexpected problems (equipment failure) I carry many spare parts to get the show resumed as quickly as possible.
Question 8. Can I choose your costume to wear during the Elvis show as well as the songs?
Answer. Yes you can, you are the customer, I have a big choice of Elvis Jumpsuits to choose from, all made by Elvis Presleys former jumpsuit makers. Here are the links to each one which also give you a clue on how expensive they are:

I have a great collection of Rock n Roll 1950s blazers for the early Elvis Years. The pride of that collection is an exact replica of the striped blazer Elvis Presley wore in the hit 1957 Hollywood Movie Jailhouse Rock. The suit was made in Elvis Presley’s hometown Memphis USA, and purchased from the famous Lansky Brothers Store.

Question 9. Could I book you via an entertainment agency?
Answer. Yes you can, but I made a conscious decision early on in my career to be mostly an independent service provider. The main reason for this is, that it cuts out the cost of the middle man (agents fees) and enables the customer to hire a Top Class Elvis Impersonator at a realistic affordable price.
Question 10. Have you ever been to Graceland?
Answer. I have not visited Graceland yet, I’ve been so busy as an Elvis Tribute Act investing in my shows (new costumes etc. ), I just haven’t gotten round to it yet. I do want to Visit Memphis & Graceland in the very near future especially where Elvis lies in peace, see around his house, and the amazing rooms including the famous Jungle Room, and to witness for myself all of the memorabilia and fantastic awards bestowed on Elvis, and of course visit the Sun Recording Studios where you can now record your own music. Unfortunately, the Heartbreak Hotel has now been demolished so I will not be able to stay there.
Question 11. What is your favourite Elvis song of all time?
Answer. The UKs favourite Elvis song was recently voted as “Always on My Mind. I love them all depending on my mood. One that pops up often is an Elvis Song from 1972 called “Separate Ways” from the same named album. The song was actually wrote by one of Elvis’s bodyguards Red West reflecting his then break up with Priscilla Presley. A song that suits my Elvis style vocals here is a video link of myself singing this great Elvis song.
Question 12. Do you sing anything other than Elvis?
Answer. Yes I do, I now perform a solo Beatles Tribute Act ideal for small parties and smaller venues. This can be supplemented alongside the Elvis Act but since Covid I have been back again concentrating my efforts on delivering top class Elvis entertainment.
